Are you looking for a great place to take the kids this winter? Well look no further!!! The Arboretum has just the ticket for you! There are few activities that are as appealing to kids as it is for adults. Tobogganing or “sledding” is always a lot of fun, a great reason to get outside and dragging your sled uphill is also a great workout!
Here at the Arboretum, we are fortunate to have a wonderful hill that is perfectly suited to this wintery past-time.The top of the hill is located just at the north end of the parking lot adjacent to the Conservation Centre. There are benches for preparation or a rest and several different “runs” to be used. An added bonus is the close access to the Conservation Centre for using the bathrooms or simply to warm up.
Note: To help make the runs safer, hay bales were added near the bases of the trees. Under no circumstance should any child be allowed to participate without parental supervision.
