Walks with a Naturalist

The nature interpretation series was developed in the spring of 2009 as a way of connecting Arboretum visitors with the natural world. Our naturalists design different walks and outdoor programs based on their particular interests or specialties. The diversity of walks ranges from insects, birds, amphibians, trees, ecology and biodiversity. For more information about upcoming walks please visit the "Upcoming Events" page by following the link at the top of this page. The particular activities are outlined there and specific details are also provided at the click of a button.

Educational workshops:

With the help of experts from the Arboretum as well as special guests from different organizations, The Arboretum also offers several educational workshops to help visitors plant trees, control pest insects, or deal with injured wildlife just to name a few. Most of these activities are free except for general entrance fees for non-members. Once again please visit the calendar page for further details.

Special events:

Occasionally, various local groups or clubs use the Arboretum to host a particular event. Many of these events are open to the public with a general interest in the topic.
